Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has praised Arjun Tendulkar, the son of legendary batter Sachin Tendulkar, for his commitment levels and the hard work he does to keep honing his skills. Arjun, who is currently part of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) squad for the ongoing IPL 2026, has spent plenty of time training under the watchful eyes of his idol, Yuvraj, and the latter’s father, Yograj Singh. Reflecting on mentoring Arjun, Yuvraj described it as a full-circle moment, saying that he is happy to pass on the learnings he got from his idol, Sachin.

During an interaction on Sports Tak, Yuvraj said that Arjun is harder working than he himself was back in the day.

“That’s amazing because I’ve learned most of the things from his father-mental battles, physical battles, and technical battles. I am passing the same things to Arjun. He is learning from me, which is great. He is a nice kid; he is very sharp and picks up things very easily. I really wish that I could match his level of hard work. He loves the game. His father is probably the best player that I’ve seen. It is fascinating to see Arjun’s commitment levels,” said Yuvraj.

Yuvraj’s father, Yograj, who has also overseen Arjun’s training sessions at his academy, recently suggested that the 26-year-old shouldn’t be judged solely on his credentials as a bowler, highlighting his batting prowess.

Regarding his father’s claim, Yuvraj had a slightly different take, suggesting that Arjun has a lot to learn as a batter and is primarily a bowler who can contribute with the bat.

“When Arjun started his cricket, he was a better bowler. He is still learning as a batter. If he continues to work on that, he will definitely improve. I feel that at one stage even he is going to say, ‘I’m not sure if I am strong with my bowling or batting.’ But I still feel he is a bowler that can bat. I was a batter who could bowl. If I keep working with him, his batting will definitely improve,” he added.
