After a 6-month wait, it looks like Pokémon HOME support is being added to Legends: Z-A at last. The official Pokémon HOME website shared key details regarding when maintenance will begin, as well as how long the app will be down. For everyone who’s been waiting for HOME support to come to Legends: Z-A, it looks like the wait is almost over.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A Will Finally Add Home Support
According to the site, Pokémon HOME maintenance will begin on Thursday, April 2, 2026, 9:00 AM in Japan. That’s around 8 pm ET on April 1 for folks here in the United States. The maintenance is expected to take around 12 hours, but the announcement states it may take up to 30 hours.
During this time, you won’t be able to log in to Pokémon HOME on Nintendo Switch consoles or your mobile app. Once maintenance is complete, you’ll need to update to Version 4.0.0 on Switch or mobile in order to access Pokémon HOME again. Once that’s done, you can begin transferring your Pokémon from Legends: Z-A to HOME.
Pokémon Fans Have Been Begging For This Update
The announcement has gotten a lot of praise over on Reddit, highlighting just how many fans have been waiting for the day that Legends: Z-A gets HOME support. “Finally!” reads more than one comment in the thread. Others mention how the update is too little, too late. “It came out four months too late. Already done with the game and moved on,” wrote one user. And it seems like plenty of people are in a similar situation.
Other folks just seem to be happy that their boxes in-game will no longer be full. Several users on Reddit mention that they don’t have any more room in their boxes in Legends: Z-A, which is certainly a problem for a 6-month-old Pokémon game that hasn’t gotten HOME support yet.
Thankfully, the wait is almost over. About twelve hours from the time I’m writing this, Pokémon HOME will undergo its scheduled maintenance, and that will hopefully mean that by tomorrow morning, we’re all transferring our catches from Pokémon Legends: Z-A and freeing up some space.
