Zelda Fans Know What They Want The Next LEGO Set To Be
The discussion kicked off over on r/lego when one fan shared a finished image of their Ocarina of Time – The Final Battle set with the caption: “Hey Lego, please make more Zelda sets. Please. This is legitimately one of my favorite LEGO sets I’ve ever built. The printing in this set is amazing, the mini-figures are some of the best of all time. Dual Arm and leg molding. The brick-built Ganon is peak. LEGO, please more final battle sets.”
In the comments, it was clear to see which Zelda-inspired LEGO sets fans would like to see next, with The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker’s name creeping up on more than one occasion. “I’m hoping for a smaller Wind Waker King of the Red Lions boat set one day,” one user shared. “I think it could be fairly priced and still cool looking.” Another agreed, adding, “When they do a Wind Waker set, I’ll buy it day one.”
Not only that, but with the absence of a Wind Waker set, fans have taken it upon themselves to use fellow LEGO sets in order to make scenes inspired by the beloved Zelda title. “I designed and ordered this as a gift for my friend,” one user over on r/lego shared, alongside an image of their creation. “He loves it and says I have to post it here! It’s Outset Island from The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, his favorite game of all time.” Over on r/zelda, another fan shared their mini creations: some of the characters from Wind Waker in their LEGO forms.
The Wind Waker Deserves Its Time To Shine
Put simply, it seems as though it is The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker that fans believe deserves the most love. First released back in 2003, Wind Waker marked a turning point in the Nintendo franchise, and in recent years, fans have been campaigning for an official remake, or remaster. So much so, even browser versions of the game have recently gone viral and even some of the most highly sought-after collectibles are heading back on sale later this year. Fans want more Wind Waker, and hopefully, Nintendo will deliver soon.
